More or Less: British Flag Clutch

Think a clutch has to be boring because it serves a utilitarian purpose? Yeah, we’re gonna beg to differ. After all, can you think of anything more drool-inducing than a bold clutch with a sexy dress and towering heels? Us neither. Today’s More or Less features a bright and statement worthy clutch at two very different price points- the designer version of this British flag clutch retails for $1,500 whereas the GoJane version is $46. Take a look and let us know which option you think is from GoJane.

Luxe for Less: Kim Kardashian

Like everyone else in the world, we may be a little envious of Kim Kardashian’s perfect derriere and amazing curves, but we are also a little jealous of her fabulous wardrobe. She definitely knows how to put together an amazing outfit. She was recently seen leaving a church service in this pink and peach number, and we fell in love with the fun colors. Since Kim’s gorgeous Chanel bag alone will set you back more than $3,000, we decided to create the look for a more affordable price. The total for our version comes in at a mere $184.30. That’s thousands of dollars you can throw on your bed and roll around in! Or put in a savings account if you feel that’s the more responsible choice.

Luxe for Less: Kate Bosworth

The gorgeous Kate Bosworth has been on our style radar since she surfed the beaches of Hawaii in Blue Crush back in 2002. Her style is incredibly eclectic, but she always manages to look effortlessly chic. She recently attended a Hugo Boss fashion show in Berlin and wore a sleek black dress from the collection. She paired the LBD with some pointy toe pumps and a clutch in the same hue. Since we are loving the monochromatic trend right now, we had to recreate her look. The monochromatic trend can be a bit challenging, so we love the idea of trying it out in an easy shade, like black! While Kate’s outfit will likely drain your wallet empty and then some, our look will only set you back $89.90. Doesn’t get much more affordable than that!

What do you think of Kate Bosworth’s monochromatic outfit? Is it a trend you’ll try out?

Luxe for Less: Eva Longoria

A tailored blazer and skinny jeans happens to be one of our staples when it comes to looking good without having to think about it. But, after seeing Eva Longoria’s version of this classic combo we realized that our previous version was… boring. We knew we had to recreate her look, but didn’t want to spend the thousands she did on Hermès and Brian Atwood. Our new and improved version will set you back a modest $187.50, but we pinky promise that you’ll look like a million bucks.

Luxe for Less: Carly Rae Jepsen

You may not immediately recognize the name Carly Rae Jepsen, but we’re pretty sure you’d recognize her hit song Call Me Maybe immediately. The 26-year-old won third place on the fifth season of Canadian Idol in 2007, but has just recently risen to stardom in the U.S. thanks to Interscope Records and her new buddy, Justin Bieber. While we, of course, love Jepsen’s amazing voice, we are also loving her style. She always manages to look classy and elegant while also maintaining her youthful and innocent look. She recently rocked a stunning blue dress with yellow heels at the premiere for Katy Perry: Part of Me, and we loved it so much, we just had to recreate the look. While Jepsen’s gorgeous dress, created by the Turkish designer Cengiz Abazoglu, will burn a pretty large whole in your pocket, our version of her outfit will only set you back  about $120. While we love Jepsen’s floral printed clutch, we switched it out for a slightly dressier metallic and lace version.

Luxe for Less: Chloe Grace Moretz

You may remember actress Chloe Grace Moretz from her fantastic portrayal of Hit-Girl in Kick-Ass or her stunning role as Isabel in Hugo, but we are loving this talented beauty right now for her chic style. The 16-year-old has been gracing the big screen since 2005, and we have loved watching her grow into a stylish teenager. Moretz was recently seen wearing this adorable outfit cruising through the airport. We love that she looks so comfortable, but also so effortlessly stylish. Naturally, we had to recreate her fashion forward look. Although we love the cozy cardigan Moretz is sporting, we changed it out for a blazer in the same hue. There’s just something about a structured blazer that manages to look put-together and cool at the same time. While Moretz’s leather pants alone will probably set you back more than $1,000, our version only costs about $100 total.

Luxe for Less: Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts may be the niece of a celebrity superstar, but she has certainly succeeded in making a name for herself over the last few years. We, of course, loved watching her rock her talent in Scream 4 and It’s Kind of a Funny Story, but we’ve also loved watching her style evolve over the last few years. With an incredibly eclectic taste in clothes, Roberts has been seen sporting everything from studs to maxis to 50’s inspired pin-up dresses. And that’s why we love her. She was recently seen shopping in an AllSaints dress and Prada shoes, and we thought the outfit was so simple and chic, we had to recreate it. While her adorable Prada wedges alone will burn a $500 hole in your pocket, our version costs just $131.80 total.

Luxe for Less: Nicki Minaj in “Beez in the Trap”

(Note: The video contains explicit lyrics and adult imagery)

Between the trippy beat and all that booty, you may have missed some of  the sick fashion in Nicki Minaj’s latest vid, “Beez in the Trap.” While we don’t like to play favorites, we couldn’t help but feel particularly proud when we saw the Harajuka Barbie shaking her derriere in our elastic band leopard jumpsuit. Don’t believe us?

What about now? Admittedly, our model doesn’t have quite as much badonkadonk as ol’ Nicki, but we still think she looks pretty damn good. By the way, if you want to get Nicki’s look we have just a few of these jumpsuits left.

If you like this look, but don’t think you can  commit to such a daring piece, try one of the three options below.

1. zebra cut-out sleeve jumpsuit
2. cut-out jumpsuit
3. elastic band cut-out jumpsuit

Do you guys think you could work this look? Where would you rock it?

Luxe for Less: Rihanna’s Modern Pin Up Look

During our daily gossip blog stroll we saw an outfit so undeniably perfect for GoJane we were forced to put down our latte and take a deep breath. The source of our joy? Rihanna. Of course our loyal readers already know we’re a fan of RiRi’s style, but this particular ensemble combined some of our fave things and we genuinely couldn’t wait to assemble a copycat of this casual, yet sexy, look. Oh, we should mention one major difference: Rihanna’s ensemble cost over $2,500, thanks to the Miu Miu heels, Chanel scarf, and Vlieger & Vandam bag, while ours will run you less than $115.

1. heart print scarf
2. low scoop neck top
3. origami bird charm necklace
4. destroyed cuff shorts
5. rhinestone trim watch
6. perforated trim clutch
7. pocketed denim shirt
8. polka dot peep-toe heel

What did you guys think of this look? Is it something you would wear out? Rihanna happened to wear this after dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Malibu, but we definitely see this look working for a casual date in the park or brunch with your girls.

Luxe for Less: Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad strutted onto the scene in 2004 as a star of MTV’s Laguna Beach. Sure, Kristin Cavallari got a lot of press for her tumultuous relationship with serious hottie Stephen Colletti, but Conrad’s easy California girl charm won her millions of fans.  Since those days at Laguna Beach High School we’ve seen her evolve from yet another pretty girl to a fashion powerhouse. Don’t believe us? Well, think about this for a moment: she’s has a whopping three fashion lines to her name, runs a mega successful beauty site, and oh yeah, is a New York Times bestselling author for her trilogy exploring the world of (wait for it) fashion. But, perhaps one of our fave things about this SoCal darling is her effortless style- even while rocking Miu Miu heels and leather shorts she manages to look incredibly comfortable and chic. Of course, we fell head over high heels in love with her look, but we knew that we couldn’t afford those costly double cross platform sandals at $700 per pop or the charming Chanel quilted purse for $1,600. Instead, we decided to do a nearly identical look, even including a messy ballerina bun, for less than $150.

1. layered tribal charm necklace set
2. knit cropped sweater
3. quilted shoulder bag
4. leatherette mesh shorts
5. leatherette peep-toe platform

Luxe for Less: Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba initially stole our hearts in Never Been Kissed which was an impressive feat owing to the fact that the swoon-worthy Michael Vartan played Drew Barrymore’s love interest. However, since then she has also received acclaim for her roles in films such as Fantastic Four, Good Luck Chuck, and Valentine’s Day.  Below we re-created one of her signature look, except for one major detail: the price. In particular, Alba’s Joe’s Jeans may have cost $170, but this entire ensemble is a mere $250. Yep, that’s right- we’re giving nearly identical style to one of the hottest mamas in showbiz at a fraction of the price.

1. layered tribal necklace set
2. flyaway blazer
3. lace back v-neck top
4. colored skinny jeans
5. convertible leatherette backpack
6. lace-up platform bootie

What did you think of this look? Who else would you like to see?

PS: We’re thinking of doing a post with lots of hints as to how to rock colored denim. Do you guys wanna see it or do you have another suggestion for how-to guides?

Luxe for Less: Look Like British Beauty, Rochelle Wiseman, Without Breaking the Bank

Jeans and a cute tee may seem like a simple and uninspired combo, but we like to think that a few well placed extras can take you from blah to bombshell. As we searched high and low for lovely ladies to emulate for Luxe for Less we couldn’t help but keep coming back to The Saturdays’ Rochelle Wiseman.  Her style, when not on stage, is simple, girly, and oh yeah, fashionable. We put together a look we recently saw her rocking, but our version will cost you the same as her J.Brand jeans. Yes, we’re offering UK celeb style for less than $175.

1. long fur vest
2. striped open back bodysuit
3. five pocket solid color jeans
4. leatherette envelope design handbag
5. faux shearling boot
