Fall Jackets: To Crop Or Not To Crop

❤ By Jenn Shin

It’s a no-brainer that temperatures will continue to dip, but making that transition in a stylish and comfortable manner can be tricky. When days are temperate but nights are chilly, what’s a girl to do?!

So we decided to investigate fashion bloggers and off-duty models for their street-style-inspired looks to see how they do it. What did we find? They’ve all been gravitating towards cropped bomber jackets and longline toppers! Here’s a round-up of our favorites for your viewing and shopping pleasure…

Get On Crop: They’re reminiscent of OG pilot jackets but rendered in fresh new fabrics with a distinctly feminine cropped silhouette (we’re not going for Top Gun over here). Opt for a vibrant jewel tone for a pop of color, or slip on a satiny number with embroidered accents for a Chinoiserie-inspired look. Need something more utilitarian? A chic windbreaker might be up your alley.

long-jacket_01.jpglong-jacket_02.jpglong-jacket_03.jpg

Long For It: For gals looking for more coverage, it’s all about creating unique silhouettes – flyaway hems, sailor-inspired details, self-tie sashes, and gorgeous washed denim. Try on a double-breasted duster that can also serve as a cool-girl maxi dress. Or if you’re looking to slay with an hourglass figure, a cinched denim trench or a tied sleeveless jacket is the perfect choice.

Fall Fashion Trend: Gothic Glam

❤ By Hannah Blu

Get ready to descend into a deeper, darker side of fashion for fall. This season, we’re taking cues from the likes of Wednesday Addams and the girls from The Craft with our glam take on Gothic style. Per tradition, black is best, but sultry jewel tones will do too. When it comes to texture, the more the better. It’s all about lace and crushed velvet plus out-of-this-realm accessories to match.

Crush On Plush: Everyone knows that velvet is the “it” texture for fall, but it’s also a quintessential goth wardrobe staple. Rich, moody hues offer a sensuous alternative to black, while ruffled necklines and bell sleeves conjure up some witchy-chic vibes (think Maleficent, not Hermione Granger).

Go For Baroque: Mark our words – brocade is gonna be big for fall. To get the look, try a filigreed piece with ornate scroll and quill detailing. Create even more Gothic glamour by upping the textural impact with velvet and mesh details. The result: an elegant yet edgy look for any autumnal event.

Just In Lace: A cornerstone of Gothic fashion, Victorian lace is one of the key components in the trend’s latest revival. This traditionally romantic textile gets a vampy upgrade with elements like tiered skirts, sweeping silhouettes, and exaggerated sleeves inspired by capes and trains.

The Necks Best: It’s easy to rock the haute goth style with Victorian-influenced jewelry. The choker is already this year’s most sought-after accessory, but intricate scalloped lace, vintage-inspired brooches, and symbolic pendants add the perfect amount of avant-garde glam.

We may not be in Westeros, but no one can deny that winter is coming… And when you’re in a rush and it’s freezing outside, the last thing you want to do is struggle with a complicated tutorial. So, here are three super easy ways to zhoosh up your scarf game for the upcoming fall season and beyond!

P.S. If you love the plaid shirt on our model, you can get it here!

Slay your fall fashion game with our chic scarves!

This is as foolproof as it gets. Fold your scarf in half and drape it around your neck. Pull the ends through the loop. Ta-da!

2. The Twist

Okay, let’s take it up a notch! Drape a scarf around your neck with two-thirds of it hanging on one side. Gently twist the longer end of the scarf and keep wrapping it around your neck. Repeat with the shorter end. Tuck in the ends for a tidy look or leave them free.

Start by wrapping a long scarf around your neck. Layer one end over the neck loop and pull it through the opening. Repeat with the other end. Voila!

Into The Blue: Fall Denim Round-Up

❤ By Jenn Shin

Sure, we’re in the midst of scorching weather now. But before you know it your local Starbucks will break out pumpkin-spice-everything (we ain’t judging), and you’ll be digging out thick sweaters from where they were banished months ago into a wardrobe abyss. To ease you into the transition of fall, here are some of our favorite denim microtrends for end of summer and beyond…

Dare To Flare: These are not the bell-bottoms your parents sported back in the seventies. They’ve been majorly upgraded with distressed details, patchwork, and chic washes for a distinctively flattering silhouette that goes perfectly with our other favorite trend: chunky heels.

Moto Rider: You don’t need a Harley to appreciate stylish aspects of moto-inspired denim. Show off subtle stitching, sheer insets, and patches for a flirty take on what the boys used to monopolize. Dress them down in rugged booties or polish them up with a pair of sleek heels.

Patch Made In Heaven: In our opinion, patches and denim are the soulmates of the style world. Try a pair of skinny jeans or a vintage-inspired jacket adorned with novelty patches for a laid-back weekend look.

Pre-Fall Fashion: It’s Da Bomb-er

❤️ By Hannah Blu

The temps are starting to cool down, school is back in session, and we can finally unblock the friends who flooded our social media feeds with envy-inducing pics from their seemingly perpetual holidays. That’s right – after a long, hot summer, it looks like fall is almost upon us. And we’re so ready to slip into our favorite jackets without working up a sweat. Bomber Babe: The classic bomber jacket is a style essential that continues to be reinvented season after season, and we’re not even mad about it. Show off your high-waisted bottoms with a cropped silhouette or go grunge in an oversized, patch-embellished style. For a night out, luxurious satin lends a bit of sexiness to this time-honored trend.

Emblazoned ‘N Embroidered: Souvenir jackets are fall’s coolest toppers. These embroidered beauties were originally produced as literal souvenirs for American soldiers occupying Japan post-WWII. A combination of all-American sportiness and delicate oriental-inspired detail, they’ve since evolved into sartorial symbols of badassery. And like keepsakes, super fun to collect!

Carried Away: Notebooks, textbooks, pens, and tablets all need a chic and organized home away from home. Try an oversized tote bag or a vegan leather backpack that takes your bag game to the next level.

#Trendspotting: Operation Camo Chic

❤️ By Hannah Blu

Looking to add some bad-ass edge to your fall wardrobe? Luckily, you won’t have to join up to rock a trendy military-inspired look. Thanks to the folks at designer houses like Versace and Valentino, camo has infiltrated mainstream fashion, thus providing us civilians with endless ways to don army-influenced gear for everyday.

While the traditional camouflage print is used by soldiers to blend into their surroundings, this season’s chic renditions are meant to make you stand out from the crowd. And all it takes is one piece to transform your summer neutrals into fall favorites. Don’t believe us? Scroll down to see how you can update your look with an army jacket or a pair of camo bottoms!

Top Guns

When you think of fall fashion, the first thing that comes to mind is outerwear, right? Oversized military jackets get a cool upgrade with grunge-influenced vintage patches, while always-appealing bombers and track jackets pop with the season’s raddest pattern. Throw an army-inspired jacket over a white tee and slip on your favorite aviator sunnies for a commando-cool vibe.

We’re calling it now: Camo is the new denim for fall 2016. With its neutral color scheme, this trend-right pattern is far more versatile than you might think. Pair camo print bottoms with your go-to black top for a chic, urban feel. Complete the look with some combat-inspired lace-up booties (with or without heels), and you’ll be ready to conquer anything!

Through Thick & Thin: Chunky Heels

❤️ By Jenn Shin

You guys have probably seen chunky heels dominating fashion blogs lately. Why? Well, stilettos are great and all, but a chunky heel is so sturdy and supportive (just like a significant other). Plus, you still get #LegsForDays without the discomfort. What’s not to like? Check out two outfits below for inspiration on how to style chunky heels for day or night!

Obsessed? Just click an item to shop it now!

Day Tripper: The dog days of summer call for a chambray off-shoulder dress to catch every stray breeze. Stash all of your essentials in a pastel crossbody bag for easy access and don’t forget sunglasses for UV protection. Last but not least, throw on some chunky lace-up booties for a chic lift to this look.

Evening Date: Tired of the usual LWD? Switch things up with a caged bodysuit and shorts with a sheer, maxi-length overlay. Stow essentials in a chic – and totally adorable – kitty clutch for a hint of whimsy. And add a statement necklace and sleek, minimalistic chunky heels for a stunning #OOTN.

Passion For Clashin’: Mixing Floral Prints

❤️ By Hannah Blu

Thanks to Meryl Streep’s amazing Anna Wintour impression in The Devil Wears Prada, we’re well aware that floral prints aren’t exactly groundbreaking for warm weather fashion. The runways are abloom with flower-patterned styles every spring and summer, solidifying the fact that this perennial print isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

The question is: How do we update our floral print game each season? By mixing and matching, of course! Today we’re showing you how to chicly combine your favorite patterns and classic florals without looking like you got dressed in the dark.

See something you gotta have? Simply click on your favorite pieces to shop them now!

Hot To Dot: Bold, spotted prints are equally as timeless as florals. Try this retro-inspired polka dot minidress paired with a floral print bomber jacket for a modernized pin-up look. The jacket’s satiny texture and edgy chinoiserie print add an urban-glam feel to the ensemble. Just finish the look with perforated chunky heels for the ideal date-night outfit!

Stripe A Match: We adore pairing stripes with florals for a preppy vibe with a hint of girly attitude. For this look, a nautical-striped, off-the-shoulder top tucks into an ultra feminine rose-printed flare skirt for a cute and quirky way to wear mixed prints this season. Combined with strappy heels, this outfit is perfect for a garden wedding, tea party, or shower!

Field Of Flowers: Floral-on-floral can be the trickiest trend to pull off. When mixing floral prints, try to stick with a simple color palette for your base (like the black and white palm frond design shown here). For your topper, opt for a slightly more spaced-out pattern with complementary hues and grounding solid accents – your outfit will be perfectly mismatched without appearing too busy.

Flag This: How To Dress For The 4th Of July

❤️ By Amy Tsai

Happy Independence Day! Today is of course July 4th, and we’re hoping you have some fun things on the agenda. (Barbecue, brews, block parties, maybe?) But what will you wear to these festivities? If you’re like us, you’ll wanna be patriotic, but you’d also prefer not to look like a walking, talking, firework-watching American flag, right?

Well, we’re here to tell you – especially those of you trying to steer away from those super symbolic stars and stripes – that dressing for the Fourth is a piece of Barefoot Contessa flag cake. And that you can totally do the red, white, and blue thing without looking a bit like Uncle Sam in all his star-spangled glory. Don’t believe us? Here’s how!

Gotta have it? Just click an item to shop it now!

1. Chambray Away – Instead of a dark navy or a bold royal, why not make the blue you choose chambray? On a playful romper or paired with classic white jeans, this denim look gives off that fun, relaxed summer vibe, while the light material keeps you cool in the July heat. The result can only be described as radwhite, and blue!

Image Map

2. Two Become Won – Another way to tone down red, white, and blue is by completely muting one out! Just pick two of the three for a two-toned or colorblocked outfit that is as chic as it is patriotic, whether you’re going for a casual night-under-the-stars ensemble or a nineties-inspired slip dress and tee perfect for a picnic.

Image Map

3. Dye For Your Country – If you’ve got a tie-dye piece in a red- or blue-and-white hue, it’s exactly the one you should put on today. While you’ll still be wearing flag colors, the tie-dye distracts from the flag-color-ness of it all, takes it to a whole ‘nother level, if you will. We’d specifically go for a summery maxi or a firework-like motif.

Image Map

4. Star In Stripes – If you don’t want to veer too far away from the flag, we’ve got two words for you – skinny stripes. Thin lines are such a classic print that wearing red and white ones might not evoke Independence Day to the average passerby. Mimic those majestic stripes with a flirty candy-striper dress or off-shoulder top.

Image Map

5. Bare In Mind – And finally, if you decide to forgo striped or two-toned for a solid, monochromatic outfit, by all means! But we would suggest choosing something with a little pizzazz to break up the theme color – cut-outs, mesh insets, caged straps, exposed shoulders, etc. Something special! Today’s a celebration, after all…

❤️ By Amy Tsai

This week we officially welcomed summer. (Okay, “welcomed” may not be the right word here. This SoCal heat wave is killin’ us right now…) Which means we can unabashedly wear our denim booty shorts and muscle tees to work and be like “(shrug) It’s summer!” if we get any weird looks from the boss.

So get your clickin’ finger ready – these all need to be in your cart like yesterday. Three days into summer, you’ve got no more time to lose…

The Graphic Bodysuit – Statement tees are nice and all, but this summer it’s all about saying something with your body(suit)! We love all the sassy sayings we’ve been seeing lately, as well as the retro-cool Baywatch-babe high-cut silhouettes.

The Maxi Romper – Is it a maxi? Is it a romper? All we know is it’s party in the front, pretty in the back! You can have that flowy goddess look while showing off your stems at the same time, not to mention keep cool as a cucumber while you’re at it…

The Foldover LBD – Off-the-shoulder is everywhere this season, but we’re particularly fond of a Bardot cut with a foldover neckline. This completely bare-shoulder look can turn up the summer in any LBD, while the black keeps it as classic and chic as ever.

See The White: 3 Ways To Wear An LWD

❤️ By Hannah Blu

The “no white after Labor Day” rule was likely conceived shortly before the turn of the 20th century, but some still consider post-summer white a fashion faux pas. We don’t know about you, but we love breaking the rules, especially when it comes to shaking things up in chic LWDs. Coco Chanel famously wore white all year long, and we can’t argue with her style choices, now can we?

White dresses aren’t just for brides and beach babes anymore… Today’s LWDs are totally wearable for any occasion and season. So, in true Coco fashion, we’ve styled three swoon-worthy white looks that you can wear before and after Labor Day, hopefully without an ounce of judgement.

Did we do white right? Shop these looks by simply clicking on your favorite pieces!

Day-To-Night White Delight

All-white is chic and sophisticated – perfect for a day at the races, a garden party, or a celebratory dinner. An off-shoulder mini in sweet floral lace makes the perfect base, while strappy sandals and a classic quilted bag up the elegance factor. Got a party-packed day ahead? No prob! Plan on a colorblock sun hat for day and a string of faux pearls for evening… You’re good to go!

White Hot Lunch Date

For a lunch date with the BFF or bae, swap your favorite white tee and jeans for a cool, crisp T-shirt dress. Transform this basic LWD into a jaw-dropping day look by tying on a trendy neck scarf for a bit of feminine edge. Nude gladiator heels and a cute clutch fancy up this simple white frock, while trendy sunnies add a touch of laid-back glam.

On your next #GNO, stand out from your squad in their oh-so-basic LBDs by rocking a curve-hugging LWD with sexy sheer details. The key to this white haute look is the pop of color – a bright pink quilted wristlet stores your clubbing essentials (ID, credit card, cell phone, and lipgloss) while contrasting beautifully against the luminous white dress and glimmering silver accessories.

You’re Cut-Off: Denim Shorts For Summer

❤️ By Amy Tsai

Today is the first day of June, which means only one thing: We can begin our official countdown to summer! While most of us don’t get summers off anymore (now don’t you miss school?) there’s still a more relaxed vibe in the air during these warmest months. One that makes you feel like you can finally pull out those worn-in, sun-washed, can’t-live-without summer staples: denim shorts!

And while we love our old, faded, made-from-torn-jeans cut-offs, lately we’re also really feeling some other jean short trends. We’ve put together a few today that you just have to give a go this summer. Ready to take a look? Just read on…

See a pair you have to have? Just click an item to shop it now!

New Threads – What’s one way to snazz up some denim if you’re singing the blues (literally) about your too-plain shorts? Embroidery! We love both the placed print variety, with embellished pockets and applique-like roses, and the tossed print look – scattered hearts or abstract tribal-inspired motifs that look like jewels. These shorts are gems themselves, don’t you think?

Image Map

Long Story – Now, don’t get us wrong. We love short-shorts, daisy dukes, even cheek-baring high-cut denim “spankies.” But recently we’ve been seeing more and more boyfriend and bermuda shorts of the jean variety, and we gotta say… Super chic. Especially the destroyed, bleach-washed kind that you can pair with a plain white tee and nude heels and wear just about anywhere.

Image Map

Flag This – You might not think American flag shorts are your thing (who is that patriotic), but hear us out. Our two-toned stamped version or the faded vintage-inspired pair would be amazing at any music festival, not just a 4th Of July picnic. And when else can you rock the stars and stripes this fittingly, right? So we say, this summer, why not let your denim flag fly!

New Classics: Stripes Forever

❤️ By Jenn Shin

Here’s a quick history lesson: Breton French sailors originally wore stripes to stand out against waves in case they went overboard. As a result, Coco Chanel designed stripes into her nautical line…almost a hundred years ago! This only further confirms our opinion that stripes are a timeless classic that can be worn again and again for various occasions and events.

We obviously love stripes too, so today we’ve styled this tried-and-true pattern into outfits appropriate for the office, nights out, and everything in between!

Leisurely brunches, shopping, and running errands call for a grounded outfit high on style. A stretchy, off-shoulder dress is set off by comfortable and functional lace-up, block-heeled sandals. Add a beaded boho cuff and throw on retro-inspired sunglasses for extra UV protection. All you have to do is load your must-haves into a tasseled clutch, and you’re good to go!

Rock Your Body

Wow your squad for the next #GNO (trust us — they’ll be asking to borrow everything) in a sheer, striped bodysuit which is tucked into a sexy black skirt with laddered cut-outs for a sliver of skin. #StyleHero: Why We Love Basics + 3 Ways To Wear ‘Em

❤️ By Amy Tsai

We’re not sure exactly when the word “basic” became a no-no, but it seems no one is supposed to like anything basic anymore. (And you definitely wouldn’t wanna be called it!) But today we’d like to speak up for all those basic bitches styles getting the bad rap, because they’re ridiculously versatile, never off-trend, usually affordable – in a word, awesome!

Which is why we’re declaring it our #StyleHero for the moment and showing you three ways a basic piece can improve the rest of your wardrobe and thus your life. By the end of this we think you’ll be bowing down and calling yourself a basic bit-… Fine, maybe you won’t go that far. But you know what we mean. Let’s get to it. All hail the basic!

1. Sheer Genius

With super sheer, barely-there styles all the rage right now, you might be wondering how you could possibly get on-trend without displaying your undergarments for the world to see. This is where a good basic comes in. Just find a fitted jumpsuit or a leotard romper in your skin tone, and you’ve got a barrier between undies and world that is slick enough to not spoil the illusion.

2. Statement Maker

You can’t truly, effectively make a statement with a statement piece if you’re wearing other statement pieces that distract from it, right? Well, there’s nothing like a basic (but still bangin’) minidress or a sleek (but still chic) sweater romper to put the spotlight on your stems and whatever strappy / glittery / neon / absolutely outrageous statement shoes are holding them up.

3. Layers Club

In the warm-season months, you’re not gonna wanna feel bogged down by your clothing nor get caught coatless by an unexpected chill. The answer? Layers! Basics are generally lightweight and therefore perfect for layering, whether it’s a bralette under a blazer or kimono or a cropped tee peeking out through a cool bomber jacket. Light in weight but heavy on style, we like to say.

Beach Bike Ride

Here’s some advice… Ditch everyone who’s walking and get a sweet beach cruiser instead! Stay comfortable as you take in the sights in broken-in, distressed denim shorts paired with a Breton-inspired, striped off-shoulder top. Protect your skin with a stylish and super functional woven straw hat and add modern jelly sandals that are sand-and-water-friendly.

Ladies’ Day Out

Finally. You and your lady friends all made room in your schedules for a day of mimosas, brunch, and shopping. An all-day event like that calls for an easy romper with a collarbone-baring, off-shoulder neckline and chunky platforms that you can walk in for miles (at the mall). Stow your cards and phone in a hands-free crossbody, and slip on a sleek gold collar to finish off the look.

Garden Party

If you happen to be attending a garden party, graduation party, or shower, this cool, comfortable, and flirty look is perfect. Lightweight chambray doesn’t weigh down a voluminous skirt which matches an equally chic, ruffled, off-the-shoulder top. Stay grounded in cognac chunky heels which won’t sink into a grassy lawn. Add a gleaming statement cuff and earrings, and you’re all set!

#Trendspotting: Patch Made In Heaven

You get to show off your interests, hobbies, and fave pop culture references. And there are no rules! Go ahead and add as many patches and pins as you like to your favorite canvas for a totally customized look.

We styled some of our favorites (food + cute animals = win) on a classic black denim jacket to pair with just about anything and everything. How should you wear it? We’d throw the upgraded jacket over a distressed white tee for a casual #OOTD.

Shoe Down: 4 Styles You Need For Summer

❤️ By Hannah Blu

We’ve been rocking our sandals here in sunny SoCal since February (#SorryNotSorry for the humble brag), but we know that many of you are just starting to retire your heavy winter boots in favor of more…breathable options. Believe it or not, summer is only weeks away, and that means it’s time to break out the hot weather gear and flock to your nearest body of water.

There’s a reason summer is our favorite season – we love all the fun and fabulous footwear choices that come with it!  That’s why we’ve compiled our top shoe picks, to sport wherever you go this summer…

Woven Wonders: Huarache Sandals

Your summer wouldn’t be complete without a comfy pair of sandals that can be paired with almost any outfit. That’s where huarache-inspired styles come in. These intricately woven shoes dress up your denim shorts like no pair of flip-flops could ever do. They also look ultra chic and laid-back when paired with breezy frocks or flowy maxi skirts.

huaraches_01.gifhuaraches_02.gifhuaraches_03.gifhuaraches_04.gif

Tied For First: Gladiators

It’s no secret that gladiators are a summertime shoe staple. They’re perfect for adding a little drama to your favorite leg-baring looks. Go for a classic lace-up design or liven things up with gladiators that boast boho-inspired accents, unique straps, or rich hues. (We adore this burnt orange shade.)

gladiators_01.gifgladiators_02.gifgladiators_03.gif

All About Jute: Espadrilles

Fashion houses like YSL and Chanel transformed what were once mere peasant shoes into the chic, luxurious style statements you know today as espadrilles. The quintessential summer shoe, espadrilles have been updated with lace-up accents and d’Orsay-inspired silhouettes. The casual jute rope sole design also makes for one gorgeous wedge!

Nature Lover: Wooden Platforms

The sun is shining, and now’s the time to embrace all that nature has to offer. For your next picnic or lunch date, try wooden platforms that add a touch of rustic flare to summertime sandals and mules. Don’t worry, though… No trees were harmed in the making of these shoes. These faux wood platforms are totes eco-chic!

You Nauti Girl: The Unsinkable Nautical Trend

❤️ By Amy Tsai

Tides are forever turning in the ebb and flow that is fashion, but one classic trend always seems to stay afloat, buoyed to our hearts, continually making waves, as ubiquitous as a lighthouse by the shore. Duh, we’re talking about the nautical trend! Last year’s resort collections predicted yet another rise in nautical details for Spring 2016…not that they’d ever really go away.

But lucky for us non-catwalkers, the nautical look is as easy as it is iconic. And the great thing is you don’t need an actual yacht party invite to look like you belong in the video for “I’m On A Boat.” Today we’ve compiled some tips, along with a few looks, to show you how to do this nautical thing right. (As if we’d ever steer you wrong!) So let’s just jump right in, shall we?

Nauti by nature? Click an item to shop it now!

Untitled-3_01Untitled-3_02.gifUntitled-3_03.gif

The A-B-Seas

First things first, the basics. The three easiest ways to dress nautical? One, stripe right: Just put on stripes and you’re halfway to nauti land. Two, salute the flag: Wearing red, white, and navy takes you the rest of the way. And three, hit print: You can also go in a more literal direction with whimsical patterns like ropes, anchors, boats, and even lobsters!

ms024b_01.gifms024b_02.gifms024b_03.gif

Aye-Aye, Captain

The nautical trend evolved from 19th-century French naval uniforms, so you’ll find yourself in shipshape if you just emulate the seafarer at the helm of it all – the captain! A modified blazer (really anything with lapels), especially one with gold coat of arms buttons, will give you the sophisticated look of a worldly traveler…without the scraggly beard!

Untitled-1_01.gifUntitled-1_02.gifUntitled-1_03.gif

All Aboard

But you don’t have to limit yourself to the captain’s closet. ‘Cause we all know from Fleet Week that sailors dress pretty fly themselves, with those signature white and blue tie-front uniforms. You can follow suit with a pussy bow blouse, a scarf fashioned like an ascot, or a dress with knotted ties around the neck, sleeves, or waist.

Untitled-2_01.gifUntitled-2_02.gifUntitled-2_03.gif

Maritime Merry Time

If you’re worried about falling overboard into costume territory, we say just go with a romper. The cool, carefree one-piece (“romp” is in its name!) epitomizes that easy, sea-breezy beach vibe, and to really evoke the nautical element choose one with rope detailing, a flowy silhouette, or a vacation-ready halter. Accessorize accordingly, and you’ll be saying “Ahoy!” in no time.

Floral Support: Oversized Flower Prints!

❤️ By Amy Tsai

They say April showers bring May flowers, but to be honest…we can’t wait that long! Oversized florals are already everywhere lately, and we especially love them on articles of clothing that just scream spring – rompers and matching crop top sets.

So today we’ve rounded up some of our favorite floral print items, along with what makes them so special to us. We’re pretty sure you’ll find yourself sprung for at least one, but don’t be surprised if you end up falling for the whole bouquet! 💐💐💐

See something you’d totally wear? Just click the pic to shop it now!

Classic

A Rose By Any Other Name: …would look as sweet! Classic long-stemmed roses make this a timeless print, but the vivid color scheme has all the pop you need to rose to any special occasion.

Pop

Draw Your Own Conclusion: Speaking of pop, we love the pop art quality of this retro yet whimsical print of cartoon flowers. The pattern may be simple, but it juxtaposes perfectly with the high fashion silhouette.

Stamp

Stamp Of Approval: Don’t think you need color to make a huge impact though. This monochromatic tropical print romper transports us to some island getaway just like that. No passport necessary!

4

Sew In Love: Or if your trip is to Coachella, you need this embroidered Most Likely To Show Up Every Other Festival Look look. The pattern is cute, the dark background edgy, and the overall neon effect works for day or night.

Trim

All The Trimmings: There’s also something to be said for how well floral prints play with others. We love the way this particular flower, along with its complementary cultural-inspired pattern, gives off a perfect paisley effect.

6.jpg

Paint Yourself A Picture: When all’s said and done, you just want a floral print that will play you up as the masterpiece you are, and a soft painted flower pattern will do just that – allow you to blossom!

Fashion Throwback: ’90s Revival

❤️ By Hannah Blu

There are certain aspects of ’90s fashion that we’d rather not remember – we’re looking at you, windbreaker pants that could be unzipped into shorts or capris (*cringe*). But like all eras eventually do, the ’90s have been experiencing a major fashion revival lately…  And we’re totally diggin’ it.

That’s right, folks – the ’90s are back in all their glory. The Backstreet Boys are reunited, Fuller House is a thing, and we’re all rocking tattoo chokers like we invented the damn things. But the ’90s were also a tumultous time, style-wise, which is why we’ve compiled a go-to guide for embracing this rad fashion renaissance the modern way.

Think we’d post pics without making them clickable? AS IF. Just tap your faves to shop ’em now!

Not-So-Clueless Chokers

’90s-inspired chokers have been spotted on all your favorite celebs and style icons. That’s because they provide a chic way to add an edgy, it-girl element to your look. (Think Kate Moss and Winona Ryder circa 1995.) And while the tattoo chokers we collected in middle school are still hot today, fashionistas are now bringing the look to a new level with layered chokers in mixed materials.

choker1.jpgchoker2.jpgchoker3.jpg

Totally Tight Crop Tops

These days, crop tops aren’t just a trend – they’re a way of life. But did you know this midriff-skimming top had its big break in the ’90s? The Spice Girls brought it to the forefront of fashion, and who could blame them? What better shows off your toned tummy than a cute cropped tee! Now crop tops dominate both runway and street, so we think these babies are here to stay.

croptops_01.gifcroptops_02.gifcroptops_03.gif

Super Fly Overalls

We admit it – overalls were our jam back in the day, especially when worn with one shoulder strap casually unhooked. Well, we’re happy to tell you that they’re back and cooler than ever. Gone are the days of frumpy dungarees – today’s overalls are gussied up with svelte silhouettes and deliciously distressed details for a more contemporary vibe.

overalls3_02.gifoveralls3_03.gifoveralls3_04.gif

Wonderfully Wicked Jellies

Time to rejoice – jellies aren’t just for tots anymore! This ’90s kid favorite is all grown up now, boasting edgy upgrades like lug soles, platforms, and sky-high wedges. Don’t worry, though – the glitter-laden jellies you loved as a child are still all that and a bag of chips!

jelly_01.gifjellies_02.gifjellies_03.gifjellies_04.gif

Bitchin’ Combat Boots

We can’t say we envied Angela Chase’s love life (although Claire Danes did get to smooch ’90s mega-babe Jared Leto 😍), but we definitely recall being super jelly of her grungy-chic combat boots on My So-Called Life. Combat boots have come a long way since ’94. Today colorful patterns and heel variations continue to rejuvenate this timeless grunge look.

Color Of The Moment: We’re Blushing

❤️ By Amy Tsai

It seems like ever since Pantone released their twin Colors Of The Year for 2016 (a baby blue named Serenity and a baby pink named Rose Quartz) blush tones have been everywhere in fashion. We don’t think we could think of a better spring color if we tried.

So today we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite ways to wear this heavenly hue –  appropriate for the season, of course. Check ’em out and comment with your fave below! We’re pretty sure with one look you’ll start to think pink too…

Minidress_01.gifMinidress_02.gifMinidress_03.gif

The Bodysuit

Now that we’re peeling off all our winter layers, what we’re looking for is that tucked-in look without any of the tucked-in bulk… Bodysuit to the rescue! Just throw on a pair of cutoffs or skinny jeans and you’ve got yourself an instant outfit.

The Romper

Is there any article of clothing more fit for frolicking than the romper? We think not! There’s a reason it’s also known as a playsuit. Whether you opt for a rib knit turtleneck or a floral halter, your look will be as fun and flirty as it is fresh. Perfect for spring!
