Fall Jackets: To Crop Or Not To Crop

❤ By Jenn Shin

It’s a no-brainer that temperatures will continue to dip, but making that transition in a stylish and comfortable manner can be tricky. When days are temperate but nights are chilly, what’s a girl to do?!

So we decided to investigate fashion bloggers and off-duty models for their street-style-inspired looks to see how they do it. What did we find? They’ve all been gravitating towards cropped bomber jackets and longline toppers! Here’s a round-up of our favorites for your viewing and shopping pleasure…

Get On Crop: They’re reminiscent of OG pilot jackets but rendered in fresh new fabrics with a distinctly feminine cropped silhouette (we’re not going for Top Gun over here). Opt for a vibrant jewel tone for a pop of color, or slip on a satiny number with embroidered accents for a Chinoiserie-inspired look. Need something more utilitarian? A chic windbreaker might be up your alley.

Long For It: For gals looking for more coverage, it’s all about creating unique silhouettes – flyaway hems, sailor-inspired details, self-tie sashes, and gorgeous washed denim. Try on a double-breasted duster that can also serve as a cool-girl maxi dress. Or if you’re looking to slay with an hourglass figure, a cinched denim trench or a tied sleeveless jacket is the perfect choice.

Go ahead, just say it...
