So, lately it seems like we have an obsession with things that begin with ‘s’, such as spikes, shoes, and sparkles. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t equally enamored with plaid, tweed, leather, or fringe. As you’ll see in this post, there’s a little bit of everything, and it’s all kinds of amazing. So, take a look and let us know what you think of all of these new goodies.
Anything you’re in love with?
PS: As always, everything should be on our New Styles page soon!
We’ve already waxed poetic about our affection for all things inspired by 1993, so it shouldn’t surprise you that we started clapping our hands with sheer excitement when some of these featured goodies arrived at the GoJane studio. After all, who doesn’t love them some cropped tops, combo moto jackets, and flannel? Take a look and let us know what goodies you’re coveting.

You already know about our Gwen Stefani style crush, but an outfit she wore earlier this week made us seriously swoon. Why? Well, she managed to incorporate some of our favorite trends, such as leather and peplums, into one cool look. Of course, we knew that the songstress responsible for “Rich Girl” (sample lyrics include, “I’d buy everything/ Clean out Vivienne Westwood/ In my Galliano gown”) was rockin’ some seriously expensive gear, and we didn’t want to spend an entire paycheck on a pair of peep-toe booties. So, we put together a nearly identical look for a very modest $89.50. Take a look and make sure to let us know what you think.
Sure, the temperature in southern California is still hovering at 90°, but we’re prepping for fall anyways. Why? All the new looks we get to debut, obviously. And one of our fave parts of any look? Footwear. This post is gonna showcase some of our must-have shoes for fall, complete with links so you can get your pedicured paws on ‘em, as well as a sneak peek at all the sweet new stuff we just got in, including leg chains, studded bags, and sexy dresses.
What do you think? Anything you’re coveting?
PS: As always, all of these goodies should be on our New Styles page pretty soon!
Think a clutch has to be boring because it serves a utilitarian purpose? Yeah, we’re gonna beg to differ. After all, can you think of anything more drool-inducing than a bold clutch with a sexy dress and towering heels? Us neither. Today’s More or Less features a bright and statement worthy clutch at two very different price points- the designer version of this British flag clutch retails for $1,500 whereas the GoJane version is $46. Take a look and let us know which option you think is from GoJane.

Last night’s MTV Video Music Awards 2012 may have included a kiss between Rihanna and Chris Brown, but otherwise managed to be pretty tame. But, don’t let the lack of drama fool you- there were some seriously stylish celebs present, as well as a few stars sporting some questionable duds. Take a peek at our picks and let us know what you thought of the MTV Video Music Awards, as well as our picks.
Thursdays aren’t typically a busy day, but today is an exception because there are several big things going on tonight: President Obama’s acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, the MTV Music Awards, and of course, Fashion’s Night Out. And, while we’d love to chat about all of ‘em today, we’re gonna focus on the most important- Fashion’s Night Out. Why? Well, it is about fashion, our fave thing in the whole wide world.
For those not in the know, Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) began in 2009 as a way to celebrate all things fashion, as well as get the world shopping again. The official color of the event is red, and in order to celebrate all things FNO we decided to show you our favorite red pieces. Sounds good? Yeah, we thought so, too.
If you’ve been paying attention to all the major glossies, beauty blogs, and street style stars, you’ve probably noticed a shift in color. Specifically, we’re seeing a lot of burgundy. This rich hue is perfect for fall, and is also known as bordeaux, wine, berry, and plum. So, take a look at our large gallery featuring this completely gorg color in all its forms, and make sure to let us know how you’re wearing burgundy this season.
Preparing for a day of shooting requires a lot of things: the perfect playlist, pulling all sorts of accessories, and of course, making sure our models are having fun (this is accomplished by cracking really bad jokes). Today’s set of photos from our most recent shoot required all of the above, but the best part of this photo sesh was the clothes. In this post you’ll see some of our newest favorites, including a pair of metallic sky-high platforms, a denim bustier with some serious hardware, and some pretty rad accessories. Don’t believe us? Start scrolling!

If you haven’t noticed, there are a lot of pretty cool shows and concerts coming up. In fact, we’re sure that nearly everyone reading this will find something they want to attend because some pretty kick ass acts are going on tour. But, if you’re not quite sure what to wear when you go to your dream event, we’re here to help you with three concert-ready outfits picked courtesy of one of our rockin’ stylists.
Yes, we know it’s still August, but we can’t help but get excited over the possibility of cute layers and fall trends. You’ll see some of our fave trends in this post, including crosses, spikes, and studs. Plus, we don’t wanna brag or anything, but our models look like they’re having a helluva time, don’t you think?
What’s your favorite piece?
PS: As always, all these goodies should be in our New Styles section within the next few days.
We’d probably find an excuse to indulge in some retail therapy even if it wasn’t Labor Day weekend, but we’re gonna pretend that we’re encouraging you to score new stuff because it’s a patriotic necessity. Without further ado, here are five must have things for Labor Day weekend, regardless of if you plan to spend the day studying, frolicking at the beach, or chowing down on some BBQ.
Good news: the heels featured in this post are already on the site (and yes, we made sure to link to them). Even better news: these pictures are seriously inspiring. Take a look and let us know what you think.
Have you seen some of your favorite celebrities, including Miranda Kerr, Kate Bosworth, and Beyoncé, wearing a pair of suspiciously puffy and flattering sneakers? While the sneakers may look like classic vintage kicks, they’re actually wedge sneakers and routinely retail for $700. However, we’ve found a nearly identical pair for a modest $30.50. Take a look and let us know which pair costs less than your weekly mani/pedi.
We’ve already told you about one of our fave trends (spikes and studs) for the upcoming season, but we think you’re ready for another one: skulls and crosses. And, just so you know, we’re not talking the gigantic skulls or crosses splashed across your person like that one kid you used to hang out with who freaked your mom out. Instead, the skulls and crosses we’re getting excited about include cut-out tees, dainty rings, and seriously bad ass clutches. To show you just how versatile this trend can be, we put together an inspiration gallery of images, some street style, some Instagram, and some editorial (and even one dude), that have made us whip out the plastic and load up our reusable shopping bags with all sorts of goodies.
What is your favorite item with skulls and/or crosses?
Is it just us, or has the summer flown by? Maybe it’s ’cause we were super busy; between assembling our July 2012 lookbook, checking out the hottest swim looks from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and showing you how to dress for the beach, time just slipped through our perfectly manicured fingers. Granted, there’s still a few blissful weeks before the official beginning of fall, but we decided to take this week to introduce some of our favorite new trends for the season. First on our list? Spikes and studs. We’re pretty sure you know all about our adoration for all things spiked and studded (you have been reading our Behind the Scenes + Sneak Peek posts, right?), but today’s post is special. Why? Because we’re gonna show you how to wear spikes and studs with a gigantic picture gallery full of our fave street style bloggers.
Even though it looks like some high-fashion retailers have placed this metal bracelet on sale, we still find the idea of spending $230 (reduced from $300) a bit jarring. Fortunately for you, we have a dainty metal bracelet, complete with skulls and embellishments. Can you tell which bracelet costs a mere $8 and which one will set you back three digits?

Our most recent shoot unveiled all sorts of cool stuff, including spikes, studs, and skulls. However, if you’re not a fan of those edgy accents, don’t worry- we also got some totally bohemian headpieces, as well as an undeniably feminine sweatshirt with delicate lace. Wanna see? Start scrolling.
Spikes and studs may be having a bit of a moment, but you know what’s getting us all sorts of excited? Patterned pants. And we know you’ve already seen us wax poetic about striped pants, as well as floral denim, but today’s post is introducing you to a few new kids on the block. We’d tell you more, but a picture is worth 1,000 words, right?
Anything you’re loving?
PS: As always, all of these goodies should be on the site within the next few days.
Confession: when high-waisted jeans (along with their natural allies, crop tops) began trickling into GoJane there was a lot of muttering darkly about the 90′s being over and asking, “Why are we getting these?!” But, no one would dare to utter such a statement now. Why? Because high-waisted jeans are back in a big way. If you’re still doubting us and unsure if you can rock the look go ahead and check out our awesome how to guide featuring three very different look.
Searching for a pair of heels that are classic, yet have just a hint of edge? Well, we found ‘em in the form of these peep-toe pumps with stud detailing. One of the pairs featured will set you back a grand whereas the other is a cool $30.80. Can you tell which one is which?
The black and red pair is from GoJane whereas the other pair costs nearly $1,000. To get our version click here.
This week has been insanely busy because we got tons of new accessories and shoes. Of course we aren’t exactly complaining- some of this new stuff is pretty damn cool and lust-worthy. Wanna see? Start scrolling, girl.
Confession: we are kind of obsessed with wedge sneakers right now. Not only do they add height to your frame, but they instantly elevate your outfit to previously unknown levels of cool. Don’t believe us? Feast your eyes on the four pairs of kicks below we’re currently in serious lust with.
We’ve been loving the chance to show you all the cool stuff we have coming in, including our most recent acquisitions: two pairs of heels that will make you swoon, a distressed tee with a feline friend, and a pair of jeans that are out of this world.
What did you think? Anything you’re in love with?
PS: As always, all these goodies should be on the site soon.
We know it’s cruel to remind many of you that school will soon start. After all, we’re guessing that you didn’t manage to accomplish everything you had hoped to accomplish during those three months between finals and brand new class syllabuses. But, we’re gonna offer you a few different outfit ideas ’cause we know you need time to shop, and we don’t want to interrupt your Jersey Shore marathon planned for later this month.
Quick: what do Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and Kristen Stewart have in common? Their adoration for clear cap toe pumps by a certain French designer. Of course, due to their celeb status they can drop $1,495 without batting a false eyelash. However, for us mere mortals, a quadruple digit price tag for a pair of kicks is way out of the question. Fortunately, we found you a nearly identical pair for a very affordable $22.60.
We suspect that every type of girl will find a thing or two to obsess over in this post. Our most recent in-studio shoot includes a bra with metal spikes, à la Madonna or Lady Gaga, faux-wrap dresses with delicate lace insets, and floral combat boots. We would continue to chat, but we know you’re anxious to see all the stuff soon to be on the site, as well as models in their natural habitat, right?
What was your favorite pic? Anything you’re excited about?
A tailored blazer and skinny jeans happens to be one of our staples when it comes to looking good without having to think about it. But, after seeing Eva Longoria’s version of this classic combo we realized that our previous version was… boring. We knew we had to recreate her look, but didn’t want to spend the thousands she did on Hermès and Brian Atwood. Our new and improved version will set you back a modest $187.50, but we pinky promise that you’ll look like a million bucks.
We blame Taylor Tomasi Hill for our obsession and fascination with striped pants. After seeing Prabal Gurung’s muse in a perfectly tailored pair of flared leg, striped pants we were undeniably in love. But, we didn’t want to be accused of taking inspiration from Beetlejuice, hence our reluctance to wear the bold trend. Fortunately, we found a few dozen stylish gals who not only showed us how to wear this slimming and fashion-forward look, but gave us the motivation to make it happen.
For approximately $1,200 you can sport the cuff favored by fashion heavyweights, such as Katie Holmes, Victoria Beckham, and Lady Gaga. Of course, if you don’t have four figures to drop on accessories, we can help you out. Don’t believe us? Keep scrolling.
Which cuff do you think costs as much as a brand new laptop? If you guessed the bottom one, you’re correct!
If you’d like to get your pedicured paws on this rockin’ cuff, click here.
Between gearing up for the 2012 Summer Olympics and it being, you know Friday, we’re feeling kinda spent. But, we still have another day to get through before a glorious weekend of sleeping in and watching 90′s action flicks (anyone else thinking Die Hard? Anyone?). In efforts to give you motivation to finish the day, here are some pretty sweet pics from our most recent in-studio photo session. On the menu? Spiked (vegan) leather jackets, dainty metal headpieces, and flirty tees.
Oh, and ’cause we can get fancy, here’s a peek at a new formal we have:
Yeah, we know it’s July, but we’re kinda already obsessing over all things fall, including sweaters. We guess that’s why today’s post is focused on all sorts of pre-fall goodies, such as thickly knitted cardigans and creepy crawly spiders (perfect for Halloween!). But, don’t think we’re out of some perfect summer stuff. As you’ll see, we’re still feeling waterfall hems, head chains, and denim cut-offs. Oh, and we made sure to include a few shots of our models fooling around in the studio. You like?
What did you think?
PS: As always, everything should be on the site within a few days (in the New Styles section).
If you were watching last night’s 2012 Teen Choice Awards, you probably weren’t surprised to see fan favorites, such as Twilight, The Hunger Games, and Justin Bieber get plenty of praise and acclaim. Of course, we found ourselves far more preoccupied with the fashion than the votes, but you didn’t expect any different, did you? Anyways, lets take a look at some of the best trends of the night, as well as a few questionable frocks.
Favorite Trend: Ladylike Frocks
Favorite Trend: Bold Prints
There were also a few looks we weren’t exactly loving, including:
If you want some serious lift, as well as the opportunity to show off your glam pedicure, we suggest a pair of embellished peep-toe platforms. Today’s More or Less is focused on a pair of slingbacks with some crazy embellishment action, along with a lot of color pop. Oh, but there’s one thing to remember: one of these heels costs a mighty $1,499 whereas the other pair is a cool $36.50. Check out the epic battle below, and make sure to tell us which one you think costs the big bucks.
Which pair do you think costs nearly $1,500? If you guessed the pair on the bottom, you’re correct. By the way, if you wanna get your hands on these hot heels, simply click here.
Warning: this post includes a lot of lust worthy and drool inducing stuff, including racks of towering high heels, bad ass accessories, and a few tees and tanks that would make even the most down-to-earth girl squeal with delight. Plus, we focused on capturing two of our models in all their backstage glory, even though it’s kind of depressing to realize that these girls always look fabulous, even while performing the most mundane of tasks. Oh, and as you’ll soon see, there is a fringe jacket that will be on your must-have list ’cause it’s a little bit Bon Jovi, a little bit boho, and a whole lotta gotta have it.
What do you guys think? Anything you’re super excited about?
One of our go-to ways to make any ensemble a little bit more fashion-forward is florals. This classic print manages to be pretty, girly, and always adds some extra visual interest to a look. But, lest you fear you’ll look like a garden party by adding some flower power to your boo thang, we have an inspiration gallery just for you.
What was your favorite look? Are you a fan of florals?
Cassie managed to bring the party to Las Vegas this past weekend in a chic body con dress, vintage Chanel earrings, and some mah-jor bling. As you guys already know, we’re fans of Cassie’s style, and this hot little number cemented our admiration for the songstress. Of course, we don’t have the cash to drop on pricey hoops (valued at approximately $699!) or designer heels, so we had to re-create the look. The result? A nearly identical ensemble for a doable $146.
Recently the interwebs have been atwitter over the news that No Doubt, the punk ska band known for hits such as “Just a Girl”, “Hey, Baby”, and “Underneath It All”, are releasing a new album. The band recently debuted their first single and as we watched their lead singer, Gwen Stefani, we remembered why we fell in love with her in the first place. With her trademark red lips, peroxide blonde hair, and enviable abs, she has managed to become a beauty and style icon for generations of girls. So, in celebration of all things new No Doubt, here’s a style gallery dedicated to Gwen, as well as a Gwen-inspired look.
We’ve previously shown you how to wear peplums, but as time marches on, this ladylike trend has evolved. So, we thought we’d give you an updated how to guide with some inspirational photos from a few stylish bloggers. Keep scrolling and make sure to let us know what look you love.
So, this week’s shoot featured tons of cool new stuff: midi rings, floral printed pants, and perfectly cropped blazers. We’d continue to wax poetic about all of the awesomeness that you’re gonna see, but a picture is worth a thousands words, right?
Every girl needs a hot clutch in her life, and we think this red clutch, complete with jewels and skulls definitely delivers. Of course, there’s a major difference between one of the clutches- the inflated price tag of $1,595. The other option costs a cool $43.70. Which one do you think will set you back a tank of gas?
This post will appeal to all sorts of you: we have floral jeans, graphic, vintage-inspired tops, and ladylike blouses, including those with peplums and pussy bows. So, start scrolling and make sure to tell us what you can’t wait for.
