Daft Punk’s New Look

We have some massive Daft Punk fans here, and their slick new makeover has us drooling with envy. Daft Punk is, of course, sporting their signature head gear, and added wicked sequined tuxedo jackets. Their custom made ensembles were designed for the Saint Laurent Music Project (of, you know, Yves Saint Laurent) and photographed by creative director Hedi Slimane. Associated artists have included glamazons Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson, Kim Gordon, and Ariel Pink. If you want to know more about the project’s pedigree you can check out the official slideshows for the Saint Laurent Music Project here.

Anyway, Daft Punk’s “Random Access Memories” is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated releases of 2013, and after their Coachella Weekend 1 teaser there’s plenty to be excited for. April 18th saw the issue of their first single “Get Lucky” featuring Pharrell. Oh. Em. Gee. That list of amazing collaborators keeps on going. You might recognize some names like Julian Casablancas, Nile Rodgers, and Animal Collective’s Panda Bear, for example. This may be premature, but we’re pretty sure this album is going to be great. We salute you Daft Punk and can’t wait to purchase your album the second it drops.
